SONY PCM-E7700 DAT Dual Deck Editor

Model Details :

         The unique PCM-E7700 "DATStation" is a dual deck DAT editor that provides 1 ms accurate edits with adjustable crossfade, level and balance control functions.This compact editing system offers two transports in a single transportable unit with real time jog, 2 times speed editing and copying, EDL composition and a highy featured graphical display which provides simple and fast operation.

    •    Compact innovative design
    •    Excellent portability and simple operation. The design of the PCM-E7700 is like that of a laptop computer with an EL display
    •    Both a player and a recorder, the compact, handy unit weights approximately 8kg (17lb. 10oz.)
    •    The PCM-E7700 employs EDL based auto-assembly editing, which significantly reduces editing time.
    •    Edit-in and -out pints are displayed on the EL (Electro-Luminescent) screen. Up to 100 bars can be displayed on the screen as the EDL
    •    Auto Edit key initiates the complete editing sequence
    •    EDL and set-up data can be memorized in a back-up memory. Real time monitoring during auto editing and dubbing is provided, and detected errors can be automatically listed and reviewed in the ERROR REVIEW mode function
    •    Level and balance are adjustable, level and balance settings are also stored along with the EDL and can be recalled during auto editing
    •    All processing is digital and editing is non-destructive
    •    Source tapes can be saved and archives unaffected
    •    High -speed editing and dubbing is achieved by a newly developed servo IC and an advanced DAT signal processing IC, at both normal and twice normal speeds
    •    Real-time jog capability with high sound quality
    •    RAW (Read-After-Write) function for real time monitoring
    •    Internal SMPTE/EBU/Film timecode formats and absolute timecode (A-Time) can be used during recording and dubbing by the PCM-E7700 for editing
    •    Timecode, ID and program number recording and locating capability
    •    Headphone jack and unbalanced analog monitor outputs are provided
    •    Equipped with both AES/EBU digital and balanced analog inputs.
